Frase Pricing: Sites, Seats, Article Limits, and Overages
Compare Frase Starter, Professional, and Scale by monthly cost, sites, seats, articles, audit pages, and optional overage charges.
Frase Starter costs $49 month to month and covers one site and one seat. Professional costs $129; Scale costs $299. The lowest sufficient plan depends on your sites, collaborators, and production volume together.

Annual equivalents require yearly billing. Article and audit allowances are monthly, not a yearly pool. The public page also distinguishes AI actions, monitored pages, and AI prompts; none should be counted as interchangeable article credits.
What happens at the limit?
Starter pauses at its limit until renewal or upgrade. Professional and Scale offer optional pay-as-you-go, disabled by default. Published extra-unit prices are:

Worked examples: which requirement decides?
The following are our calculations, not quoted offers. They use monthly billing and exclude taxes and optional hosting.
One person, one site, eight articles: Starter fits the stated article, site and seat limits. Count audit work independently: a 75-page audit workload would exceed Starter's 50-page allowance even though the article count fits.
Four collaborators, three sites, 30 articles: Professional plus one extra seat is $158 monthly, calculated as $129 + $29. Buying Scale just to obtain the fourth seat is unnecessary if the remaining Professional limits meet your needs.
Three collaborators, five sites, 50 articles: Professional with ten optional extra articles is $179, calculated as $129 + 10 × $5. This assumes other allowances fit and overages are enabled. Scale can still be justified by other required capabilities; article arithmetic alone does not make it the lower-cost choice.
Six separate sites: Professional's site cap is the first constraint, even if the team publishes only twelve pieces. Confirm whether your domain setup counts as six sites before purchasing.
Keep hosting and monitoring in separate budget lines
Frase offers publishing connections and its own hosting. If you already use a CMS, first establish whether direct publishing handles your content types, image fields, approval process and URL structure. Hosting is not automatically necessary just because it appears next to the content plan. See Frase's integration documentation.
Ask for a demonstration of draft-only publishing and revision approval before turning on automation. A useful content workflow should leave an editor able to inspect facts, links and changes before publication.
A short evaluation checklist
Bring an existing URL, an unpublished draft and a list of required users/sites. Complete each task, write down the allowance consumed, and verify what exports remain usable outside Frase. Compare the bill for your busiest month with the savings from a yearly commitment. A predictable annual average can hide a costly monthly peak.
