Clearscope Pricing: Inventory, Drafts, and Team Costs
Understand Clearscope Essentials and Business pricing, page capacity, draft allowances, tracked queries, and how to evaluate add-ons.
Clearscope Essentials is $129 per month and Business is $399 per month. Both list unlimited users and projects. A larger team does not by itself require Business; inventory size and the work you need to perform are better starting points.

Enterprise uses custom pricing. The page advertises a 14-day free trial. Confirm its current signup conditions separately from paid renewal terms.
Notice that Business increases page and query capacity but does not increase the included monthly draft count in this table. Moving up a tier solely because you need more drafts could be the wrong purchasing decision. Source: plan comparison.
Capacity and consumption answer different questions
A page inventory is a set of pages you monitor; it should not be interpreted as a fresh batch of 50 articles every month. Monthly drafts and explorations describe recurring work allowances. Tracked queries are another separate limit.
Build your requirements in three columns:
- Keep under observation: URLs and queries you want monitored.
- Create or examine this month: drafts and topic explorations.
- People who need access: editors, freelancers and reviewers.
This prevents a common budgeting error: multiplying a flat subscription by the number of collaborators or treating every monitored URL as a newly generated draft.
How to evaluate add-ons
Clearscope documents automatic plan add-ons when included credits are exceeded. Its add-on help article contains an older example using a $189 base price; that example should not override the current $129 pricing page.
The current pricing table displays add-on rates, but the quantity selected matters. Before building a precise 250-page cost estimate, record the block size, recurring charge, and rounding rule shown in your account. Do not assume a dropdown's displayed dollar amount buys an unspecified number of pages.
Two purchasing scenarios
Six contributors and 35 monitored pages: Essentials is the first plan to evaluate if the other limits fit. Six users alone are not evidence that Business is necessary. During the trial, have a contributor share work with an editor and verify the permission and export behavior your process requires.
Two contributors and 240 monitored pages: compare Essentials plus the confirmed page add-ons with Business. Also consider query capacity and exploration needs. The cheapest inventory-only combination may fail if you need 200 tracked queries.
These are decision examples, not vendor quotes. We have deliberately left unknown add-on quantities out of the arithmetic.
What to test before committing
Take one article you maintain and one new topic. Check whether a writer can turn recommendations into a useful revision, how a reviewer sees the changes, and whether the exported work fits your CMS. Record any manual cleanup instead of assuming a higher content grade equals a better article.
